So now that any prying eyes are shut out behind this restrictive friends only wall...tell me: How did you jump one week into the future? Maybe you didn't, but that's certainly how your post looks on my end. That seems like a really useful thing to be able to do on demand...
hey allison its morgan from YWW... well anyway i have a livejournal and i added you as a friend and i'm asking so nicely could you please add me too? :::sweet face::: morgan
Thanks :) But, no offense to you meant whatsoever, I only tend to friend people I actually know in real life. It's not personal, I'm just paranoid like that, sorry. But I'm happy to chat up anonymously in rent or on Verdigris (http://verdigris.proboards19.com/) or something :)
I'm sorry that this is so totally random, but I am considering applying to YWW this comming summer and was hoping to get in contact with someone who had participated in the program in the past. The community that I found seemed to have fizzled out, but seeing as you are the moderator I thought I'd get in contact with you. I would really appreciate any details you could give me, but of course understand that it's terribly awkward that some random stranger is leaving a comment in your personal journal. If you would be willing to contact me, please just leave a comment on my LJ, and I'll give you my e-mail address, or something.
Thanks so much! Hannah
P.S. It's so cool that you love RENT, I do too, and it made me feel a lot more comfortable leaving this comment on your journal when I saw that we have a lot of shared interests.
Aw, hi! I'm actually probably not the best person to ask; I only attended the program in 2004. I'm only the community moderator thanks to a convenient membership in the otherwise-not-very-active webzine group while I was there. That being said, I believe someone in the community recently announced that the program was being discontinued. S/he could be wrong, though, and if applications are available for the summer of 2006 then I guess that's the case! Anyway, I'd be happy to answer your questions. Feel free to email me at dancing . light AT gmail . com (just make it look like a normal address when you type it, of course) or just comment back here. Alternatively, you're welcome to join uva_yww and ask around; it's not a very active community, but I think enough people are members that you'd get some response. Good luck!
Hey! I was wondering if you have a graphics journal or something (or if your graphics are here and flocked). I found one of your icons (of Jesse Tyler Ferguson) at someone else's journal so I came here to see where specifically it's from or if you have any other graphics.
Back in '97, I saw JTF in the Shakespeare in the Park (Public Theater) production of On The Town. Then recently, I saw him on TV in Ugly Betty, and recognized him!
Anyway, I just wanted to find out more about you (in an anonymous internet way - I'm not asking your name, age, or where you're from) and him (or rather, where you know of him from) and your graphics!
Um...I actually don't make graphics at all, and I've never made anything with JTF, nor have I ever met him except maybe for two seconds after the first time I saw "Spelling Bee" (though I share in the love). I cropped some pictures to icon size from Rent and Light in the Piazza a solid few years ago and may have posted them somewhere, but that'd be it.
I do have a Photobucket account where I have a ton of found graphics stored-- photobucket.com/albums/b224/sunset_glory/ . I have them labeled with the username of the LJer who made them, where known. Feel free to browse, snag, and so forth. No need to credit as I didn't make them.
First of all you don't need to add me as a friend because I don't know you and I'm pretty sure you don't know me LOL But I just wanted to say that I LOVE your journal title, avatar(Moulin Rouge is LOVE) and your friends only banner!

Oh! Ignore that. I've perfected the manipulation of the space-time continuum quite conviniently- remind me sometime to demonstrate.
